A490 Structural Bolts

The A490 structural bolts are heated-treated alloy, heavy hex fasteners designed to join steel-to-steel connections. Heavier than A325 bolts, they have a flat bearing surface, washer faced, and chamfered point. These heat-treated bolts are corrosion-resistant and are designed for use in harsh environments. They are used in structural steel joints in heavy construction applications that need high tensile strength. A490 bolts come in a black oxide finish and are partially threaded for precise grip in structural joints.
